About Sandra Ferrari Disner
Sandra Ferrari Disner is Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Southern California, and has taught there since 2006. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from UCLA. She has over 25 years of experience as a language consultant and expert witness, testifying for plaintiffs as well as defendants, government agencies as well as private parties, and advising major news organizations such as CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC Television News, as well as USA Today and the Associated Press.
In addition to teaching at USC, she has taught in the Linguistics Departments of UCLA and the University of California, Riverside, as well as giving guest lectures at other universities. For a number of years she was a featured participant in mock trials at UCLA Law School. In 2006 she designed and conducted a graduate seminar on Forensic Speaker Identification at USC.
